Colby Covington seems to have the rematch he wanted with Kamaru Usman locked in for November 6.
Chaos is a divisive figure within the MMA world. He went from a relative unknown, although vastly skilled fighter to one of then-president Donald Trump’s biggest supporters and heat-seeking targets of the UFC.

Speaking to Candace Owens on the Daily Wire, Covington opened up about his relationship with Trump and the call he received from the then-president after defeated Tyron Woodley back in September 2020.
“It was surreal. It was my career defining moment to have someone who I admire so much, who’s a hero to me and my idol, to have him call and celebrating and saying how big of a fan he is of me.
“Like, dude you’re my idol. I’m a big fan of you. I appreciate what you do for America, for the people, you put us first and having you call and take the time out of your day…
“And he’s like “Hey man I had to leave this rally … and I had to get back in time … I had to wish my favorite fighter Colby Chaos Covington congratulations,” Covington explained.

Trump would take things a step further and invite the welterweight to one of his debates in Ohio.
“He put me on a very short list of people to be at his debate in Ohio,” Covington explained. “That was just unbelievable. When you support the Trump family, they really show their support for you.
“God Bless the Trumps. Thank you for everything they’ve done for us.”
Covington patiently waited for his chance to face Usman again once he defeated Woodley. Leon Edwards is on a 10-fight win streak and recently defeated Nate Diaz to make sure he’s at the head of the queue and even still, Covington is next.

“I’m going to be getting my rematch with Marty Fakenewsman,” Covington told Owens.
“I’m going to be fighting November 6 for the world title. They said it’s tentatively planned for MSG in NYC, so as long as the pandemic, or scam-demic, doesn’t slow it down, we should be going to New York or Vegas, worst case scenario.
“November 6 is locked. We’re getting our rematch, and we’re going to get our revenge.”

Covington gave Usman quite easily the toughest test of his welterweight title reign thus far when the pair originally met UFC 245 in December 2019.
Most people had the fight dead even heading into the fifth and final round, but Usman would break Covington’s jaw and go on to secure a TKO stoppage.
